Who We Are
Dr. Andrea L. Vianna earned her M.D. degree from Universidade Federal Fluminense (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) in a full scholarship program in 1982. Arriving in the U.S. in 1990, she completed her residency program in Pediatrics and fellowship in Pediatric Ambulatory at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, Long Island, NY.
After her fellowship, she became the Associate Director in Pediatrics at Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, NY where she remained active until June of 99, when she was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Her interest in other forms of healing started in 1995 when she enrolled at Barbara Brennan School of Healing and since 1999 motivated by her own condition, she has studied and increased her knowledge and commitment to Holistic Medicine.
She believes her health condition has been her most important teacher in learning to facilitate healing in a human being, not just treating a disease.
She is Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Board of Holistic Medicine.
